Today more people than ever want to act on climate change and make many changes in their lives to reduce emissions. However some new emissions are unavoidable and the carbon legacy of prior decisions remains.

Offsetting this footprint, and creating sustainable pathways to reduce the world’s carbon load, requires access to an emissions trading market. However most of these markets have been established to meet the needs of multinational businesses, and governments and poorly serve others. 

 For individuals, communities, and many local businesses offsets are difficult to access. There are also concerns that offsets that are available may not be authentic or support  sustainable development goals.

Community carbon is a ‘retail’ emissions trading platform that identifies and supports community projects and makes their verified emissions reductions, and sustainability impacts available as CCC’s (community carbon credits) for the benefit of all participants.

Our Precious Plastics projects build and install simple open source machines that effectively recycle plastics for the benefit of local communities.
